Mineral issued from the quarries is crushed and screened. The produced technical oil shale (25...125 mm) is used in generator equipment, fine oil shale (0...25 mm) is mainly sold to the energy sector.

The total shale oil phenols are produced by extraction from oil shale retort liquor using butyl acetate. Oil shale phenols are used as raw material for synthetic tanning agents and adhesive resins.

Shale oil is used as fuel in power stations and as an additive in ship fuel. Compared to heavy fuel oils, the advantages of shale oil are its lower sulphur content and lower viscosity. Crude oil is processed into a complete product based on the clients’ requests.
